With their obligations to the Pyke Syndicate weighing heavily on them, the group agreed to infiltrate a Black Sun facility in search of a name. As it turned out getting into the facility was the easy part, but leaving was a different story.
Having tripped an alarm in their hasty exit, the companions commandeered a public taxi and proceeded on a wild chase through the heavy traffic of Coruscant. After some NASCAR driving from the droid assassin and some good shooting by his comrades, the party is able to evade the Black Sun thugs and the police.
They soon meet up with Cho’pa’ailor, known to most as ‘Chopper’, who fills them in on part two of their mission after decoding the data stolen from the Black Sun. The mission turns out to be a bounty (Dead or Alive) of a successful bounty hunter that betrayed the Pyke Syndicate by stealing a spice shipment and selling most of it to the Black Sun.
Using their contacts of the underworld, the party learns that Kaa’to has been seen recently at the Umbra Club, a very seedy bar known for its death-stick dealings. After some bribery and careful banter with the bartender, the party discovers Speng (a low-life dealer) behind a closed curtain closing a deal with one of his junkies.
Not known for his people skills, the bounty hunter takes a swing at the drug dealer, and all hell breaks loose as several of Speng’s bodyguards emerge from a closed off room. The fight ends with the party capturing the drug dealer, but not before the assassin droid was force to bluff several police droids that captured his identity on camera.
With the information they acquired from Speng, the companions head to sector 943 for the final confrontation with the traitorous bounty hunter. The epic battle begins on the catwalks above vats of molten kelerium. Kaa’tos jetpack gives him a great edge over the party as they scramble to stay in range of the nimble bounty hunter.
However, a triumphant shot from the assassin droid disables the jet pack forcing him to fight on even ground. As the force abandons him even his blaster runs out of ammo, and the bounty hunter is force to used faulty mini-thermals as a last ditch effort. He manages to drop the thief, but is forced to surrender shortly after.
The companions scope out the defeated bounty hunter’s lair to discover a yt-1300 light freighter they claim as their own, and the remainder of the Pyke’s spice shipment. The syndicate retakes the spice and takes the bounty hunter into custody, and considers the favor paid by all the companions.
